You're listening to "Couple on the Cake" from
Steve's Small World CD

SMALL WORLD  is the Juno nominated release by Steve Fox in 2001. This recording also earned him Male vocalist nominations and Indie artist nominations at the CCMAS the year following its release. It is a collection of 16 of Steve's strongest and most poignant songs.   "We actually recorded 23 songs because during the production, I kept writing…and when I'd write something we thought was even better, we'd drop a song, record a new one, write, drop, record….until my manager (Elisa Amsterdam) finally put a cap on it" says Steve.

"Couple on the Cake", the pre-release duet with Beverley Mahood, made #15 on the charts in the Summer of 2001 and the video, featuring Leslie Nielsen, spent two weeks at #2 on the Top 12 on CMT (Country Music Television).   The single "Moving to a Small Town", which coincides with both the CD release and the captivating video on CMT, has moved this album onto the "must-have" list for many fans.  In the Spring of 2002, the power ballad "Everything" with its sweeping, anthemic production and sensual video is sure to win hearts across the country.  And the Summer release of "Cheap Red Wine", the edgy country rocker about the quality of relationships, gave  fans from country radio to jamborees to CMT viewers something to dance about! It was Steve's Best charting solo release to date.
